Chocolate Peanut Butter cup Cupcakes

These are the BEST cupcakes I have ever made, and so so evil.

Here is how you make chocolate & peanut butter heaven:

Ingredients

  • box of your favourite brownie mix
  • chocolate chips
  • peanut butter
  • cupcake tray

Method

1. Mix up the brownie max as per the packet instructions and add to the individual cupcake cups, filling about half way.

2. cook for only 1/2 - 3/4 of the time so that when a skewer inserted into the brownie comes out semi gooey, but there is a crust on the outside.

3. Leave in the tray for 5 or so minutes until the middles sink down creating a crater. If they don't sink, use the back of a spoon to create the crater.

4. Melt peanut butter and pour into the hole, sprinkling with choc chips on top. Refrigerate to set and then eat!

They are pretty rich, so the good thing is you can generally only eat one each time ^_^ well...generally!

DIY Scollop Hem Top

I made this top the other day using another top I got from eBay as a template.

Worked out quite well, but I may adjust the size a little

I used chiffon material and pinned good sides together.

Using the pins I traced the shape of the shirt then started sewing

To create the scolloping was a bit annoying. I first cut the edges in with material scissors, then to seal the threads I singed it with a mini blow torch. Be very careful singing the material that you do not burnt it. It also curls up as it is a synthetic material.

All done!

I did find that after wearing it the material frayed a little.

All from me. Next time - evil goodness in the form of cupcakes!

Lady Gaga - Sydney 2012

I went and saw Lady Gaga on Thursday night last week, and I have to say that it was a freaking awesome concert, she rode in on a Unicorn!! It may not have been real, but its still a dang unicorn! hehe

The costumes, the songs, the entire performance was so much fun to watch, and not forgetting how amazing her voice is live. Not all artists sound the best without being helped ^_^

I didn't bother to get photos of the performance, as last time I did that for Pink I ended up missing some parts of the show. I did get a couple of people spotting in, and this chick went all out with dressing like Lady Gaga, awesome :)

And yes, those are unicorns on this girls shoulders :)

I went out on Saturday night to Rubi Rabbit in Darlinghurst for my brothers 30th. Was great and the food so yummy!

Anyhoodle, I have some posts coming up, so keep a lookout!

The Weekend Awaits

The weekend is here! And I have plenty to do :)

Tonight - well, nothing really, just chill out with my hubby. Saturday, running off early to Wollongong to finalise things with the church we got married in and also stop into the venue to pick up items we left behind.

Back to the Shire to catch up with friends for lunch, I'm also a bridesmaid for my gf's wedding in November - so dang excited! So chatting wedding stuff. No plans so far for dinner - might keep it free.

Sunday clean the entire house, as we are having family over for lunch *phew* thank goodness I have a spare room to throw all my junk ^_^

I know I haven't done an outfit post in yonks, but being Winter at the moment it is dark when I wake up, and dark by the time I get home. But will have to figure something out, as I have some new purchases to show you hehe.

I got this necklace for only $6! Bargain much???

Oh an totally annoyed at myself, was ironing my new cream blazer this morning and accidentally burnt it, and not somewhere I could hide it either...such a der head.

Good thing it was only $30...*sigh* now to find another cream blazer -_-

Anyhoodle, enjoy the weekend lovelies!

Rain Rain Go Away

Sooo much rain the last few days, to the point where I only had one day on the weekend to try and wash all my clothes! And I didn't get to wash everything, but enough to keep me dressed for work :)

Sorry for not posting regularly, we had a loss in the family and have just been supporting each other through it.

And also, the truth is a am a geek, and a new computer game has come out (Diablo 3!!) so I have kind of pushed all my spare time into that ^_^ hence why I have started this post at 10pm at night hehe.

Rainy weather is so gloomy and depressing, so be sure to add colour to your wardrobe to lift your spirits!

Rainy Days

Traffic People baby doll dress, €91
Burberry army coat, $983
Naf Naf boot cut jeans, €50
Sakroots wellington boots, $45
Brahmin satchel handbag, $365
Wallis beaded bangle, $21
Lulu Guinness red umbrella, $50
Pieces cotton scarve, €17
rain drops - colorful pastel dripping silhouettes on white - 8.5 x 11..., $20

A gorgeous blue rain coat over a simple outfit. The top has enough bling around the neckline that you wouldn't bother with a necklace. Just pair with some chunky bracelets and maybe some bright earring. I love a dark blue jean, so these are perfect with the loose style top, also looks fab with either a pair of flats or heels. Tuck them into your gum boots, grab your umbrella and start stomping in some puddles!

Enjoy :)

Winter Warmth

So, am currently freezing my buns off here in Australia, as it is the beginning of Winter, and Autumn wasn't exactly warm.
I have therefore dusted off my mittens and prepared my scarfs, as they will have their work cut out for them trying to keep me warm!

A couple of my awesome mittens

I ordered a new winter coat recently and should be able to pick it up on the weekend - so excited, I haven't had a new coat in like 3 years! Wooot!

Anyhoodle, in light of that I have thrown together a Polly for winter

Winter Warmth

Theory merino wool top, £193
Opening Ceremony cropped shirt, $263
J Brand pencil pants, $161
J Crew ballerina flat, $100
Maddalena Marconi woven handbag, $268
Vintage style necklace, $2,280
Friis Company resin jewelry, €13
BonBon Boutique gold filled jewelry, €25
Floral shawl, £25
Opi nailpolish, £16

I love the mix of reds and blues, plus you don't want to dress all dreary this winter, remember to add colour where you can. Bright jewellery, a pretty scarf, or some stand out nail polish for the few moments you hands aren't nice and snug in the mittens :)

How are you staying warm this Winter? And for anyone enjoying Summer at the moment...I'm sooo jealous!

Ciao xx

OPI Nail Polish Review

So I've been meaning to do this review for a while, but just got too lazy :) Therefore I went a little multicoloured with the polish this afternoon.

My new polishes:

1. Funky Dunkey
2. Rally Pretty Pink
3. Suzi Says Feng Shui

All the above are Nicole by OPI, in the Belieber colours.

First lot tried out, I found Rally Pretty Pink so be a little light, but against the black (on my pinky nail) it looked gold. Will try it out with another colour next time.

Again with the shimmer, needed a base colour for the shimmer over the top.

I attempted a "Galaxy" style polish with a black base and some shimmers & glitters. Looks pretty crap actually haha

I also bought these nail stickers from eBay aaages ago and haven't yet tried them. As my nails are currently multi coloured, will try them soon hehe.

Have you tried the stickers? Or can you give me advice on how to attempt the galaxy nails again ^_^

Toodles!
xx
