Getting a Chill - Autumn Trends

So it is starting to get a little cooler here in Sydney, so thought I would put together a few outfits based on beautiful Autumn colours that are trending at the moment.

A nice deep rust turtleneck top paired with dark blue jeans are the way to go. Keeping things simple with gold jewellery and flats. Can easily dress this up with heels and a different top!

I'm loving this colour in the jeans at the moment, such a bright colour that draws attention. I kept things slouchy to pair with as nothing says comfort & warmth like a chunky knitted grandpa cardigan! Wedge booties to keep your feet warm but still looking great :)

And lastly the Skater Dress - I couldn't decide which colour was nicer :) But since I can't wear orange without looking like I am suffering from some sickness I would go with the cobalt blue. I recently bought one of these dresses in a gorgeous teal colour and love the feel of the dress. 
Paired with a blazer and ankle boots means you can take this dress from being extremely casual to the office and out with the girls afterwards. This is very versatile as you can go as simple or dressy as you want. 

Any ideas you have? Or do you just want to go find some gorgeous colours to bring into your wardrobe? I know I want to so hurry up dang wedding I want to spend money!! ^_^

Picasso - Art Gallery of NSW

Last week V and I went to the Art Gallery to see the Picasso exhibit. I haven't been to the gallery in about 12 years, so was very excited to go ^_^

Off we toddled after work to look like tourists (well I did as I was snapping pics). And alas, I forgot that you aren't allowed to take pics inside the gallery, so no internal pics from me!

It was really quite interesting and the handout pamphlet very helpful. It covered his entire life from 1895 to 1972 and touching on the different influences and media. I actually did not know he did sculpture!

But after a number of years you can start to see his iconic touch reveal itself in his paintings, which was so awesome to watch the journey. And not to mention the number of women he hooked up with! It was like every decade he was with someone new :) haha

Afterwards V and I wandered the city, had dinner then headed home. All in all a great night out!

Was finally a nice warm weekend in Sydney - so took advantage of it!

And re-dye a dress that I previously dyed green (the green didn't work due to marks, but they are now gone!) - Check!!

I also caught up with my folks on the weekend and my older sis. She found a gift she got in France that she had misplaced so I got spoilt :)

I absolutely adore the skull pendant! I have been looking out for some cool skull jewellery lately so I am so stoked ^_^ can be worn as a necklace or bracelet.

New Goodies

I have been going a little eBay crazy lately and have purchased a few items which I cannot wait to arrive, but the other day I got both a delivery - a lovely teal dress (which I wore today at work) and a package from Oasap - yahoo! Remember free worldwide postage ^_^

How awesome is this Hawk claw bracelet! Knew I needed it as soon as I saw it :) Now only $20 and comes in gold or bronze

And these vintage style peacock earrings, perfect to add some subtle colour to an outfit. A tiny $16!! Can you say bargain :)

I had my 2nd fitting for my wedding dress yesterday and it was simply beautiful! I took my wedding heels along to get the right length of the dress, and also my mum came too :) No tears, but she was so happy with the dress and thinks it will look better than the designers version *dances* 7 weeks and counting !!

Now it's time to play with my animals and enjoy Friday night pizza!

Food that I have been wanting to make recently, but have held off due to my extremely fitted wedding dress that I need to squeeze into in 6 weeks!!

Choc Honeycomb Icecream
Do I even need to provide a reason??? I had Salted Caramel icecream on Sunday at a girlfriends house - and may have eaten two bowls *burp* was delish!

Another girlfriend gave me a recipe for this, so will def need to give this a go ^_^

Sangria
One of my other girlfriends always makes this with her bf, and I really want to try it - sounds like such a fun drink :) Always to share of course!

Macaroons
My girlfriend who made the salted caramel icecream is the queen of macaroons, so I want to have a go at making my own. They will most likely turn out a complete horrible mess but I will make them goddamit!! :)

Man I really love my sweets :)

Any suggestions for some food I can make? If so I'll give it a try and do a post about how it goes ^_^

Getting a little Lippy

Was inspired by a girlfriend of mine to wear a nice coloured lipstick, and am glad I did.

I have never worn lipstick, except once or twice when I wore a little of my red mixed with gloss.

Plum by Innoxa is a nice light lippy and not tacky. If you want to add more shine slick over a little gloss.

What I don't like is that after a few hours the colour 'bleeds' into the creases of your lips, and I kind of wish it was more a lip stain than a lip stick. Oh well ^_^

Oh also got a spray tan on Saturday in trial before my wedding...it is so weird being darker - not that it is much! I just wanted to even out tan lines and also stop my legs looking so veiny :)

Wedding Update & Stuff

Sooo have been progressing my bum through wedding stuff in the last few weeks and am happy to say that I have finally purchased wedding shoes!! I was so excited last night to be able to hunt down this specific pair of heels.

They are gorgeous and can't wait to wear them (although I would be walking, eating & sleeping in them if I could right now haha). No pics, as I want them to be a surprise - but they smell like bubblegum, for those of you who can guess what I'm talking about ^_^

I have posted 1/2 my invites because I stuffed the other half and am waiting on new envelopes to arrive *le sigh*

I also bought a dress for my Hens day - A nice red tight number :) I never wear tight dresses, so thought I'd go all out for my hens hehe.
