Pumpkin Soup

I made Pumpkin Soup the other day for dinner and it was the easiest and tastiest soup ever!

Ingredients
750g Pumpkin
2 cups Chicken Stock
1 Onion
30g Butter
Cream (optional)
Chives to serve

Method
1. Dice your onion and cook in a pot with the butter until the onion is soft, but not browned.

2. Add your chopped pumpkin to the pot (skin removed) and pour in the chicken stock. I added 2.5 cups, but is up to you. Bring to the boil then simmer for 15-20mins. Put the lid on your pot to help the pumpkin soften.

3. Once the pumpkin is squishy take off the heat and use a barmix to blend all chunks out of the soup.

4. Serve with a dollop of cream and chopped chives.

Seriously so easy! And I think Barby is right - I need to grow my own pumpkins :)

My alarm didn'tgo off this morning, so I got dressed in about 5 minutes flat. I think I did ok with my outfit today haha. Then again I may have gone too matchy matchy with the purple.

New Purchases and funny movies

So I have been bad and bought new shoes....not counting the ones I had planned on buying! eBay I blame you for such cheap deals!

Anyhoo, whilst browsing my way through countless eBay auctions I stumbled across these nude heels that had free postage. The price started at $10, so how could I say no to that :) So I watched them and watched them and saw a couple of bids pop up. Then I pounced in the last 20 seconds and got them for a bargain $32.78.

This skirt was only $8.02

I think will go great with black tights and blazer.

And this dress for $8.99

So methinks a good buy ?

Went and saw Bridesmaids with my sisters and bro's gf tonight. Was so funny, I was laughing so loud in some parts and there was even some knee slapping involved. I would rate it up there with The Hangover, but with chicks. Hilarious! Wish I could watch it again :)

All from me tonight - goodnight my sweets!

Leaving Luscious

Had a fab lazy weekend. Started off on Saturday doing some gardening, then headed off to see my friend Danni for a facial and eyelash tint at her shop in Jannali called Leaving Luscious. Was great for a catch up on goss and perked me right up. I had an amazing Vitamin C facial and my skin is so soft now, then I also got my eyelashes tinted which means I can skip wearing mascara for a while. I am also excited for when she will be starting eye lash extensions! Woot!!

I also got goodies...yay free stuff!

Bad hair, but soft skin

I should of got pics of my facial etc, but was too busy relaxing and almost snoozing :)
Check out her Facebook page here

I recommend looking her up and booking in one of her many treatments. We need to support the local small businesses.

After that I went home to start on our veggie patch. We are now waiting for broccoli, carrots, leek and lettuce to grow - yum!

I also watched the Black Swan on Saturday night, don't want to give anything away but it was an amazing movie. Kind of twisted and freaky in some parts, but also beautiful in others.

Sunday morning went to Bunnings to get some more garden stuff and a sausage sandwich :) after this I pottered around the house, let my kitty have a roam outside then made cookies.

I'll do a recipe post later on....am busy munching my way through the cookies - which the fiance has eaten plenty of....yes fiance you have! Remember the ones I packed for my work friends??? That you munched??!?

Anyhoo, ciao lovelies

ps. on a side note, have finally got the internet at home, so will be back to regular posting ^_^ yayness!

Wishing for shoes!

A great end to a long week! I got quite a bit done on my projects as well which I was happy about.

Its a busy time at work for me, which is actually a change as I was a bit bored at one point :) This will die down in July and I plan on having a day off to celebrate my 7 years with the fiance. What to do...it is really cold at the moment, so an impromptu road trip may not be the best, and also planning something that is very cheap as I am a tight bum till I get hitched hehe.

These are the heels I am going to get, if they stay cheap. Currently for $10 on ebay with $17 postage.

How freaking cute are they!! And they come in red :) so sexy

No outfit pics of me this week, I was very lazy and felt like a dag, except for today as I had a client meeting. I even wore my corset skirt which I wear on rare occasions.

Dressing to impress certainly makes you feel confident and look great. I think everyone will agree with that!

Hard at work

Here we are for another Polly Dolly challenge. Head on over to Danimezza's to join the fun!

This is what I love to wear to work, I don't always pull it off as generally I get lazy and just wear work pants and flats :)
Working Class

A simple comfy top tucked into a tailored high waisted skirt is always a gorgeous look. Paired with a fitted blazor and colourful accessories go really well. I wear Cool Water nearly every day at work, its a light pretty scent. I am seriously crushing on ankle boots at the moment, and will most likely invest in a pair I have my eye on...will have to see if I can hide them from the fiance :)

Nail art or Nail disaster ?

So I tried to do this awesome nail art I saw on someone's blog. It involved taking a few nail polish colours, mixing them in in water then dipping your fingernails in to get the swirly patterns. This is how not to do it:

Get your colours

Pour a small amount into a container of water (they will float on the surface) and swirl together.

Dip your nails in (you will get polish over the tips of your fingers)

And tada!! Nice blobby mess, but awesome swirly patterns :)

Hmmm...I think I should stick to what I know. Here is my new colour I got last week

I want to try find this post again, so if anyone can link me the page, will attempt it again!

Or if you know of some easy DIY nail art, send me the link!!

Meet Charlie!

Wow what a weekend!! Saturday was our housewarming with friends so was on the go from 8am cleaning and setting up. The fiancé picked up a coffee table and outdoor setting from my brother and I headed off to get the food for eveyone.

People started arriving about 2.30pm but we had a few early pop ups. The menu consisted of salad, potato salad, cob loaf dip and a BBQ. There was barely any leftovers so I think we fed everyone quite well :)
As the night wore on it got quite chilly, we offered scarfs, ugh boots and jackets to keep everyone toasty. Except for Jacinta & Lex, you girls looked so cold!

By 9pm everyone was gone and the fiancé and I were sooo tired so we crashed.

Sunday consisted of being lazy and eating leftovers. I did pop out to go to petbarn and a house shop (which is awesome and I need to go back there to spend lots of money!). Kira you will be happy, as I got a juicer :) baked dinner and chocolate pudding finished off the weekend! Yum!

A few friends were so awesome as to bring a gift for us and in the morning we found the best pizza maker

A couple of plants which I hope I don't kill

Vino & champagne glasses

And must not forget Charlie

He stayed up all night too, such a party animal

We couldn't of asked for a better night, and some great company :)
