Gathering for a Rehearsal

This weekend my brother is getting married - YAY!! And I am one of 5 bridesmaids so tonight we have the wedding rehearsal.

This will be the 3rd time as a bridesmaid so I should have it down pat, haha. I can't wait for the wedding though, it is going to be beautiful! I just hope the weather holds off. If it is overcast the pictures will be amazing, but if its torrential rain - not so good. Here's hoping we have a wet weather plan :)

Will be snapping pics on the day so will be able to share them with you on Sunday.

Yesterday was hectic for me, not uber crazy but still busy. I have also had a headache for 4 days straight and am thinking it might be my wisdom teeth annoying me to come out. Not yet my little buddies - wait until July.

I really really need to lay off the sugar before I go to bed. I feel for my fiance when I wake up in a dream state scared of something I imagined and wake him up and most likely freak him out in the process.
The first time was the funniest - I dreamed there was a giant red crab in the bedroom and felt it was so real. My boss ended up getting me a crab magnet for my fridge as a reminder haha.
Next time I think it was spiders, and only the other day it was a spider the size of a dinner plate. Hmmm no more dessert for me past 9pm!

I am craving a shoe purchase! Apart from the bridesmaid shoes we got about a month ago, I can't remember the last shoe purchase (may have been the military flats from Payless, but who's counting). I walk past Shoebox every day to and from the station. And everytime I walk past I see the shoes I really really want

I need these shoes!! What do you think? Sexy aren't they :)
Then again, I could also do with these babies

Are you on the hunt for some new heels?

Anyhoo, a long day deserves a break. Till tomorrow lovelies!

My Polly had a delayed flight :)

I totally missed the Polly Dolly, so she is running a little late today :)

When jetsetting around the world (which I do so often! Gosh!) I like to feel comfortable, but still looking great, so here is what I would wear should I be jumping on a plane and heading somewhere relaxing
High Flyer

Elizabeth and James scoop neck tank top
$135 - net-a-porter.com

Maison Scotch skinny pants
82 GBP - farfetch.com

Ballerina shoes
$418 - giuseppezanottidesign.com

Pauric Sweeney tote handbag
$440 - theoutnet.com

Kate Spade handcrafted jewelry
$78 - nordstrom.com

Julie Wolfe cameo jewelry
$1,490 - barneys.com

Cocktail jewelry
8,000 GBP - matchesfashion.com

Shawls scarve
$225 - cultstatus.com.au

Mary green
$25 - boutiques.refinery29.com

MAC Lipstick
$15 - nordstrom.com

Comfortable pants are a must! Nothing worse than wearing your super cute skinny jeans and then having to sit down with them digging into your stomach for 8 hrs. Not fun. Hence why I went with a nice loose fit top tucked into a pair of cotton chinos.
Some sparkly flats and bright jewellery really help tie this look together.
Also have to take some moisturiser! The aircon on flights always dries out my skin so I like to have this handy.
And don't forget a good book for when you are awake, and some sleeping masks for when you are snoozing.

Check out the other Polly's over with Danimezza here!

The fiance made an awesome pasta dish for dinner tonight, I was tempted to go back for seconds but have been eating way too much recently, so saved the leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

It was a mix of what we had in the cupboards, I shall call it Tomato al Gleno :) hehe

Put your pasta on to cook.

Cut up 1 onion (either small or big pieces doesn't matter) put this in a pan with 2 cloves of finely diced garlic and olive oil. Cook this for a few minutes until the onion goes a little soft.

Throw in chicken breast cut into bite size cubes and follow this with a simple pasta sauce. I used this one, and pretty much the entire jar seasoned with some salt & pepper.

Add 2 rashes of diced bacon and a small amount of cream (1/2 cup) and leave to saute for about 10 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.

Now serve and munch! Which I certainly did :) cannot wait for lunch tomorrow!!

No pics of me today, was feeling very blah.

Have a lovely night !

A little posh High Tea

Hello my sweets, how was your weekend? Can you believe it is over! Went by so quickly, as things do when you are having fun.

No post from me yesterday, as I had no time. I spent Saturday cleaning and driving around in prep for a few friends coming over for dinner. Which was awesome, we ate soooo much food.

This was the sight that greeted me this morning:

Started with a cob loaf - requested by Jacinta :) It is this awesome curry bacon cheesy dip in a cog loaf. The 5 of us devoured this in about 10 seconds flat.

After the copious amounts of bread we waited about an hour before starting our entree - Pumpkin soup by Jacinta. This was sooo yummy but was full straight after.

We had planned steamed veges and marinated chicken for the main, totally too stuffed except for Jen who I think actually hides the food instead of eating it (how do you stay so skinny!). But only cooked the chicken.

Dessert was a nice 'home cooked' chocolate cake :) with icecream, which by this time I was starting to feel ill from all the food. So only had a sliver of a slice.

But was a great night, and was so happy to share this with my friends. Jen I will miss you woman!!

I would of taken pictures of the food, but we were too busy being fat and eating it hehe.

Today was my future sis in law- Jess's Hens. Wooo! We started at my older sisters place and cheered Jess on for her wedding in a week! yay!!

Then got picked up by a limo which took us to the Victoria Room in Darlinghurst for a lovely High Tea. Again more and more food. I totally overate, but am thinking it was worth it :)
Here are some pics

Such a fun day, but now and so tired and still full of goodies.

Busy Little Bees

Am going to have a busy few weeks coming up!

This weekend we have friends over on Saturday, so need to do a full clean of our house!
Sunday is my sis-in-laws Hens, which is going to be fun :)

Weekend after is her and my brothers wedding, of which I am a bridesmaid, so that entire day is out.

Weekend after only have a mates band to go see (thank goodness), then after that it is our Housewarming for friends! Ergh, we are going to be worn out!

I got my hair all pretty-fied yesterday, and forced myself to go back to the Blow Dry Bar. The last time I was there I left with a massive headache, my scalp burnt from a hairdryer and neck bruised from their so called head massages (worst in the world). But I succumbed as they do a fabulous colour on me and I specifically requested Simon who is the best there >.< I will have to try hunt down the colours myself and get my mum to do my hair in future. Plus it would save me $120.

I also need to go and check out my friends new Beauty Salon she opened - Leaving Luscious
Maybe if I have time over the next few busy weekends :)

Anyhoodle, here is the standard outfit - different as today we got to wear jeans again yay! Once a month at work we wear jeans and donate a gold coin (or how ever much you want to) for a selected charity. I think this is an awesome idea, as most people don't mind parting with a few dollars. This month it is for the Miracle Babies Foundation. But I seriously need to get new jeans, I tend to wear just 2 out of the 5 or so I have, which means I need to chuck the rest.

It's called Sleepy Wings, and it is a fantastic idea and also so cute

Seventies-style denim makes a comeback for spring. Wide-leg jeans are a sure bet with buttoned-up blouses or even just a tee. You will be sure to look stylish!

My inspiration: Kate Moss and Derek Lam
My Picks

Here are two ways you can style wide-leg jeans! Both outfits can be worn to work, on the weekend or to a party! Wide-leg jeans are extremely versatile, so it is definitely worth investing in a pair!
