Polly Dolly Challenge

Just about to dart out, so am going to be quick quick!!

Here is the latest Polly Dolly challenge, courtesy of Danimezza and its all about the Little Black Dress.

I myself have finally got a LBD, and I love it.

Here is my take on an outfit based around it

Welcome to Polyvore!

Ruched dress
4 GBP - janenorman.co.uk

Vanessa Bruno crochet vest
$656 - theoutnet.com

Lascivious
$36 - journelle.com

Monet jewelry
$298 - monet.com

Green chandelier earring
$300 - taigan.com

Amazon.com: Avon Outspoken By Fergie - Eau de Parfum Spray: Beauty
$25 - amazon.com

I wanted a vampy type look (and not vampire sheesh) so paired the LBD with sexy seamed stockings and tall heels. A slick of red lipstick and nails along with a splash of colour with the jewellery completes the outfit. I also think the feather vest is a nice statement piece.

All done, now to head off on our trip :)

Will keep you posted lovelies!!

The house will be ours!!

In just 6 teeny tiny weeks the fiance and I will be proud home owners. YAY! We just signed the contract this afternoon after the owner accepted our offer.

I am so dang excited...I can't believe it. It actually seems quite surreal :)

Just quickly I was at the train station heading to work today and going up the escalator I spotted this chick wearing white and pink sneakers...yeah ok, no worries. They had bears on the front of them...! What the?? I sneaked a pic as I was walking past, so is a bit blurry.

I also had to go to a hairdressing supply store for my mum today to pick up a bonnet dryer. What is that I hear you say. Its a hair dryer that also sets your hair and it looks like a giant shower cap. Or in this instance, a weird alien hat...why you would be answering a phone like that, I don't know.
That is some sexy headwear.

Also, to pre-empt the house I did have Victory cookies at work. I also got them as my boss recently purchased a property too, yay!!

Yum, snickers cookies

Anyhoo, very short post from me as its 9.44pm and I need to pack for our week away in the Blue Mountains!

I wore this awesome necklace today, as I was reading Lady M's blog and she was talking about statement necklaces. I had to dig this one out as I forgot I had it, but I love it :) It's quite vintagey.

Victory cheer!

Snacks make the world go round

Is it weird that I am planning what snacks to take in the car for our road trip to the Blue Mountains this weekend? And that I plan to buy enough dark chocolate coated goji berries to last me the entire time away.

I don't know about you, but I love my snacks. Chippies with chocolate is a dream, savoury & sweet dream :) Yum....time to start a shopping list!

So how was everyone's day?? Mine was good. I had a client meeting today and even straightened my hair for it...yeesh, won't be doing that in a while, took too long! But was good, I got to meet the client and chat over their policies (I am totally boring you I know) and I didn't sound like an idiot. Well, at least I don't think I did...oh well, too late now :)

The fiance and I seriously need to make a decision on a wedding venue, but everytime we want to chat, something comes up. This housie for example, other times he needs to study (yes fiance, u need to do more studies!) and more often than not we plain forget. I was chatting to one of the guys at work today about weddings and the fact that the average wedding in todays time is $35-$40k. That is insane! I cannot justify spending so much money on one day. I do understand that it includes a honeymoon (well I hope it does !!) but that is still tonnes of money. I guess if I didn't have to pay a mortgage, or rent, or buy food to live, then I could spend that amount of money.

How much did you think is a good price for a wedding? Also, where did you honeymoon??

This is a sticking point with the fiance. He wants cold and snow, and I want warm and relaxing. Hmmm, a tropical island with a freak snow storm?? I don't know where I'll find somewhere like that.

That's ok I have plenty of time to think of the honeymoon.

I am feeling crafty lately and don't really have anything I can start. I will be taking something away with me this weekend, but only so much I can do without a sewing machine. I did get my beads from Ebay last week. They are nice and pretty, so now need to hunt down some plain singlets and some colourful ribbons.

Lets move on to the outfit! I did wear this with heels, so please imagine sexier footwear than my thongs :)

How much do you spend?

I love to spend money, I may have a case of the guilts afterwards, but then I remember...I have something new! yay!! But today the spending was a whole heap different.

The fiance and I went to have a look at a house that just came on the market...we came, we saw, we offered. Here's hoping we win as well :) Now we wait and see. It would be amazing if we get it, our very first house! But, try not to get our hopes up, we haven't been looking very long and don't expect to snap up a property so quickly. But you never know.

Anyhoo, today was the same as everyday (apart from the housie) so nothing spesh, dreaming of the days when I'll have millions to spend on whatever :)

So was lazy this afternoon and didn't get any pics of my outfit. Wasn't very exciting, work pants, top and cardi. Instead I'll dream of some new work clothes that I can't afford...
Work dresses
Night out dress
$89 - warehouse.co.uk

Kaliko black white dress
50 GBP - debenhams.com

Dress
130 AUD - portmans.com.au

I think these are some really classic style dresses that can be worn at work, looking quite corporate but can also be dressed up with sky high heels and some bling.

Skirts
La Petite S asymmetrical skirt
$575 - net-a-porter.com

Preen pleated skirt
$410 - net-a-porter.com

Pleated skirt
$80 - usa.frenchconnection.com

White House Black Market circle skirt
$118 - whitehouseblackmarket.com

Satin skirt
24 GBP - janenorman.co.uk

Nothing is sexier than a high waisted pencil skirt. I believe anyone can wear this kind of skirt and it gives you the most gorgeous hour glass figure. If you didn't like those you can always wear an a-line skirt adds volume to your outfit, but not in a bad way.

All this can be paired with some sexy heels
Heels
Giuseppe Zanotti crystal heels
$796 - bluefly.com

Giuseppe Zanotti leather shoes
$650 - giuseppezanottidesign.com

Manolo Blahnik mary jane shoes
$645 - barneys.com

Theyskens' theory wedge heels
$425 - barneys.com

TopShop leather heels
$130 - topshop.com

Vince Camuto red shoes
$118 - vincecamuto.com

Paris Hilton brown pumps
$90 - heels.com

Court shoes
$50 - zara.com

Loving the lace up heels, am trying to find some for winter, but am not finding ones I like. But I would love love some red heels! One thing I don't own but really want. Em at work has some that I would totally steal if she left them at work...or were even my size! Em you have been warned...by the way what size are you?? haha.

Alrighty, G'night lovelies.

This afternoon went to pick up some recent eBay purchases, got a comfy computer chair and also a bike rack for our car. All the way to Parramatta so stopped into my brothers place for a feed :)

Today was the usual Monday at work but we did have a lunch and learn which involves munching sandwiches whilst chatting over policy wordings (yep boring I know but free sammiches!!) Does anybody else get excited over free food? I know I do! I think it tastes even better when u know it's free :)

And then free stir fry at the bro's woot!
