I left my header, as I like it and didn't really want to change it (I saved the kitten Michelle!)
Anyhoodle, I had a busy weekend! And had actually planned on having a nice lazy weekend, as it was the fiance and my 7 year anniversary.
We had Friday off to laze around together, only to invite his family over for dinner. That meant cleaning and cooking all day.
Our menu was roast pork with roast veggies followed by a homemade apple & pear pie.
Here are some sneak peeks - I will do another post tomorrow with recipes and how it all went down.
Food was A-Mazing! Then we were left with this.....
.
ERGH!
Saturday I scooted off early in the morning to meet with my dressmaker that is doing my wedding dress. Just another chat about materials and costings. Made another appointment for Sunday at the fabric store.
Went home to find my brother there (he's a plumber) hooking up gas to our place - yay! He was there till about 1pm. For dinner the fiance and I decided to go to Mexican, as it was our anniversary that day. Dinner was awesome as usual, but ended up waiting an hr for our food! Outrageous!
Today being Sunday I left to meet up with my dressmaker again in the morning. This time at the fabric store to see the choices she had made. Whilst there I found this beautiful material (no hints) which I fell in love with!
After chatting to her, she will be starting my dress in December, and the cost will most likely be around $1,200. Freaking woot! The dress at the couture shop was $4,000 :) I was dancing my way home all excited.
So now I am chillaxing after a cleanup, and will have a couple of friends over tonight for some Bubble'n'Squeak. This is what you do with baked dinner leftovers - cut up your meat, veggies, potatoes and chuck this all in a fry pan to cook until hot. Then pour over yummy gravy and eat! Easy and tasty.
Alrighty, I'm off, please let me know your feedback on my small restyling of this blog - any ideas are also welcome.
Ciao lovelies!

ReplyDeleteHow exciting that the wedding dress is in progress! It must be really nice to be involved in actually putting it all together, rather than buying one already made.
ReplyDeleteAlso, you look kickass in that maxi skirt! I really like that little bow detail at the front.
